STUDENT LEADERSHIP

The World Harmony Foundation’s Global Recycling for Peace and Harmony program creates Harmony Bells for Peace which brings Students from schools around the world where Educators have set up curriculums of Peace and Environmental studies together with Heads of State, Parliamentarians, Mayors, Community and Business Leaders to develop partnerships for building Cultures of Peace with Sustainable Environments, and ensure safety and health for our planet.

We encourage the development of Global and Local Initiatives within the world’s communities to support Students in forming partnerships with Individuals in National office that are making their commitments to Peace and protecting the earth for our children's future.

Through our programs we will focus on the Millennium Development Goals which were the bases of the Millennium Summit 2000 and the World Summit 2005 both meeting were held at the United Nations at each there was the largest number of Heads of State all making their commitments with their nations in forming a new Global Partnership to reduce extreme poverty and by setting out a series of time-bound targets, all with a deadline of 2015.

We will encourage Educators to provide curriculums for students that address the goals of the Millennium Declaration so that the Students can develop projects within their own communities that will have a positive effect locally and globally. We will further encourage Global and Local Leaders to work together in partnership with those Students who have been involved with our programs and other initiatives that help the building of secure and safe environments for all people.

The Students will focus on the areas that are most vitally in need of change and improvement in their communities. While the Students are organizing the collection the recycled scrap metal to be donated to our Global Recycling for Peace and Harmony program to create Harmony Bells for Peace and later deposited in our specially designed containers, they may identify other concerns with their communities. Through of the encouragement, guidance and informational support of the World Harmony Foundation along with the Educators in their schools to create these valuable partnerships with Local Leaders helping Global and National to keep their commitments to the Millennium Development Goals.

AWARDS FOR LEADERSHIP
The World Harmony Foundation and our Sponsors will host an Annual Luncheon and a Gala Awards Dinner to acknowledge the commitments and accomplishments of a number of Global and Local Leaders including Heads of State, Parliamentarians, Mayors, Community and Business Leaders with Educators. At least two Students Leaders will be given awards annually and each of these Students will in addition receive a gift of $1,000 from the World Harmony Foundation. This acknowledgement is for their remarkable Leadership in developing Partnerships with Global and Local Leaders and for making their commitments Peace by participating in our programs, as well as guiding their school’s participation in our Global Recycling for Peace and Harmony program which creates Harmony Bells for Peace to raise Peace and Environmental awareness within their own schools and Local communities.

The World Harmony Foundation’s Annual Luncheon and our Gala Awards Dinner will both be held at the United Nations in New York City.
