The World Harmony Foundation along with Mayors for Peace donated the printing of the UN60th Anniversary Posters as well as the UN60 Charter Posters to the United Nations which were designed by the award winning design team of the Outreach Division of the UN Department of Public Information. Both organizations co-sponsored the UN60th Ceremony and Celebration with the United Nations Department of Public Information.

The ceremony was held on United Nations Day, October 24th, 2005 at United Nations Headquarters in New York City where the first Harmony Bell for Peace rang in “A Time of Renewal”, the theme of the UN60th Anniversary.  Mayor Donald Plusquellic, of Akron, Ohio, Vice President of Mayors for Peace was present, as well as Congresswoman Carolyn B.
